SCOTTISH and Southern Electricity have been slammed for choosing digital switchover day in Midhurst to leave part of the town without power.
Anne Cooper, 85, of Carron Lane said she had complained to the electricity board when she received a notice warning that she and other residents would have their electricity cut off next Wednesday, which is the second switchover date for the town.
“I was told it was maintenance they had to carry out every 20 years,” she said.
“I really think if this work has to be carried out every 20 years it should have been co-ordinated better and not clashed with the digital switchover day for the town.
