Charity, Cards for Good Causes, needs a new manager for its Midhurst outlet.
The charity has run a successful Christmas card shop in the foyer of Capron House, North Street, for the last ten years and the same location has been confirmed for 2012.
Mary Gilbert, who ran the shop for several years, has now moved away from the area and a replacement is being sought.
The shop is open from the end of October until Christmas, Monday–Friday 10am-4pm, selling cards on behalf of 28 national charities and some local causes as well. The position of manager is temporary and part-time as the shop is manned each day by a loyal group of volunteers.
He or she is needed to oversee the outlet, look after the volunteers, carry out stock and banking procedures and complete some paperwork.
The manager may only need to be in the shop for an hour or so each day, and the role can be shared between two people.
Judith O’Sullivan, from Cards for Good Causes, said: “It may seem too early to think about this role but we do like to have people in place as soon as possible so the shop can run smoothly and training can be given.”
