New Midhurst town councillor

RETIRED Methodist minister, the Rev David Coote, has been co-opted to fill the vacant seat on Midhurst Town Council left by the resignation of Glenn Jones.

Mr Coote and his wife Barbara, who have three children and three grandchildren moved to Midhurst in 2010 when he retired as chairman of the Channel Islands District of the Methodist Church. “Everywhere I have been, I have been involved in community life, particularly in the development of youth clubs and I am happy town councillors felt I had something to offer,” he said.
