Noisy Midhurst bench needs new home

VICE chairman of Midhurst town council John Quilter and fellow councillor Mark Purves have been tasked with finding a new home for a bench which has had to be removed from its present home outside Rosemary’s Parlour in North Street.

The seat, which town councillors were told was well-used in its town centre location, was taken away after noise complaints from nearby residents at Rosemary House and the Clock House.

It has been suggested that it could be placed outside the Masonic Hall in Bepton Road but until a decision is made, it has been placed in storage.
