THE weekend of August 10-11 marks the return of the popular Northchapel Working Steam Show at the School House Farm, London Road, Northchapel.
With main show sponsors Blaker Specialist Welding Repairs on board, the show will feature working steam exhibits, including ploughing, threshing, heavy haulage and wood sawing.
A wide selection of classic and commercial vehicles will be there on the day, including military vehicles, tractors and vintage motorcycles.
A steam showman’s engine will be generating power for a small fairground, with a model marquee and archery demonstrations providing plenty of entertainment throughout the weekend.
The event raises much needed funds for important charities.
With money donated to both St. Wilfrid’s Hospice and Macmillan from last year’s show, the challenge has been set to beat the previous fundraising success.
This superb show is one that all of the family can enjoy.
The unique emphasis on working demonstrations helps present a flavour of how life functioned before modern day vehicles, as well as providing the community with a fantastic event, displaying local fare and crafts.
Tickets can be purchased through the website in advance at a discounted rate.
