Saturday night at the movies with a difference is coming to Treyford on June 17 when young farmers Ed Mitchell and his partner Tori Beesley show Notting Hill at Newhouse Farm.

This season ‘Film on a Farm’ are partnering with farmers all over the UK screening events at historic family estates and true working farms bringing a night of entertainment to the great British countryside.

Settle down with a blanket and snuggle up under the stars to watch classic films such as Top Gun, Dirty Dancing, Back to the Future, Notting Hill, Pretty Woman and The Lion King.

Each of the venues provides a stunning setting, typically home to grazing livestock, amongst ancient trees and now playing host to some of the most iconic films ever made.

There will be a selection of the finest local produce on the barbecue and a fully stocked bar.

Film on a Farm began in 2015 as a diversification project for a young Hampshire farmer. Now in its third year, it is touring a number of private farm and estate venues, bringing a unique diversification opportunity to the countryside.

And on Saturday (June17) Ed and Tori will be hosting ‘Film on a Farm’ at Newhouse Farm in Treyford which has been in Ed’s family for many years and is perfectly placed at the foot of the South Downs.

The film will be Notting Hill and the evening will include food and drink from ‘The Smoking Beetle’! Not forgetting the all-important Tyrells Poshcorn & Jude’s Ice Cream.

Gates open at 7pm, cinema goers are asked to bring along a picnic blanket and anything else to keep them comfortable and warm, or reserve a VIP style deck chair.
