PUPILS from Petworth Primary School joined 150,000 other children across the country for a record breaking challenge.
They are hoping to make it into the Guinness book of world records for the most people signing a song at the same time in schools nationwide.
The record breaking attempt came in the wake of the setting up of a new school signing club by reception teacher Sally Rymer, who is herself hearing impaired.
The event, which involved also the children and staff at the school, was organised by Miss Rymer is raising money to improve deaf adults and childrens’ access to healthcare services and health information.
Everyone came to school in brown and orange clothes to match SignHealth’s mascot, Olli the Monkey, and they raised £120 for the charity.
