Piper leads Tillington villagers to their jubilee celebrations

A lone piper through Tillington and up to the recreation ground followed by some 60 villagers heralded the start of the celebrations.

There was music courtesy of Chi Jazz and a steel band. There was a crown making competition for the children, food stalls and bars and even a limbo dancer.

Among the highlights of the evening was a flight past by the Red Darts, one of the planes was owned by Tillington villager Bob Grimstead and both planes trailed red, white and blue trail smoke tributes across the Tillington sky.
