POLICE are appealing for help in tracing a young woman who was spotted walking near the River Rother at Easebourne early this morning (Thursday, March 29)
At around 4am police went to woodland near to the River Rother, Easebourne, following a report that the woman had been seen walking in the area in her nightwear.
The woman is described as white, aged 18-25, of slim to medium build, with brown hair below the shoulders, wearing grey pyjamas and a beige dressing gown.
Despite an extensive search of the area by police, including the use of the helicopter, the woman has not been found.
A police spokesman said: “We are anxious to locate this woman as we are concerned for her welfare and want to ensure that she is safe and well. Anyone who thinks they may have seen her, or knows who she is or where she is now, is asked to call 101, quoting serial 0128 of 29 March.”
