Midhurst Rother College building could become parish hall

Easebourne parish councillors are to investigate the possibility of taking over the Midhurst Rother College building on Wheelbarrow Castle as a community facility.

At their last meeting, members suggested it could provide a much- needed village hall and community centre when it was vacated by the school next year.

They are to liaise with Petworth and District Community Association which has recently taken on the former Herbert Shiner school building after negotiations with West Sussex County Council.

Parish clerk Carole Allan is also reminding WSCC of the parish interest in the sporting facilities on the site.
