Ribbon cutting ceremony for Stedham's tennis courts

The new tennis court at Stedham sports field was opened earlier this month.

The opening ceremony was held by Stedham Sports Association on Wednesday, September 7.

The cutting of the ribbon was carried out by membership ticket winner Rebecca Mellotte.

Sue Yates, the administrator for the Stedham Sports Association, said: “Many local children enjoyed the first ‘knock up’.

“A great evening was enjoyed by many villagers with a barbeque with lovely sausages, kindly donated by Martin Joy.

“Thank you to him, and to Alan Blumlein for undertaking the cooking and Lucinda Leeds for taking the photos recording the event.”

Tennis membership is available for £25 a year and guests can play for £5 an hour, or £2.50 for under 12s and OAPs.
