TRUSTEES from an educational charity which helps pupils whose families are struggling financially have received ‘good wishes’ from Princess Anne.

Angela Holyoak and Henry Beltran, trustees, were introduced to the Princess Royal recently and she wished them well with the new education trust.

Henry Beltran said: “We were delighted to have an opportunity of introducing Wispers Trust to the Princess Royal, and we were heartened by her good wishes for our endeavours to influence secondary education in a different manner.”

The trust is a successor to Wispers School, which existed for more than 60 years on sites in Midhurst, West Dean and Haslemere.

The first grants were awarded in 2012 to applicants in London, Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey and the trust is working closely with the Charity Commission.
