Scouts parade to Cowdray Ruins for St George’s Day Service

EASEBOURNE Scouts this year hosted the annual St George’s Day Parade for the Petworth and Pulborough District.

And despite bouts of heavy rain more than 400 youngsters turned out with their families to take part.

First they were inspected at Midhurst Rother College by deputy county commissioner Mike Wakeling and district commissioner Kathleen Bridger and then they paraded, standards held high, along The Causeway to the Ruins for a service led by Easebourne vicar The Rev Derek Welsman.
