Five sheep are reported to have been ‘torn to pieces and killed by dogs’ in a field in Oving.

Sussex Police’s Farm Watch reported that the incident took place on January 15, adding that the RSPCA had been notified.

The Sussex Farm Watch monthly bulletin also reported that a Gator diesel engine tractor was stolen overnight from a farm in Bracklesham Lane, Bracklesham Bay on January 16.

“The whole episode was captured on CCTV and shows five males taking part,” the bulletin said.

A barn to a farm in Church Road, North Mundham, was also broken into by kicking down the door, it reported.

They then threw nails around the building and smashed a window.
