The Petworth & Pulborough Scout District group holds its annual St George’s Day Parade on Sunday (April 24) in front of Petworth House in Petworth Park.
The Scout Association is celebrating 30 years of Beaver Scouting and 100 years of Cub Scouting and so this year’s parade and service is being led predominantly by the young people themselves.
The dress theme is either St George and the Dragon or groups will be dressed befitting a decade in the past 100 years.
Anyone who has ever been a Beaver Scout or Cub Scout is invited to join the parade. It will move off from the Petworth Park joint sports pavilion at 1.30pm and the service will start on the grass in front of Petworth House at 2pm.
