SAINSBURY’S stores in Sussex have helped to save up to ten lives with a donation to an air ambulance.
All the retailer’s stores in the county contributed to the £25,000-plus raised through raffles, tombolas, bag-packing, quiz nights and generous contributions from their customers.
The bumper donation was handed over to Julie Clare from the Kent Surrey Sussex Air Ambulance.
“Thanks to the generous donation from Sainsbury’s, we are able to continue the good work the air ambulance does,” she said.
“This donation covers the cost of ten potentially lifesaving flights.”
