AFTER POLLS closed at 10pm, ballots papers are being counted to see who will represent Chichester at the House of Commons from 2015-2020.
Andrew Tyrie is expected to hold the seat and it would be a national shock if he were to be unseated.
It appears there were no polling stations late to close, but the returning officer has said it had been a ‘busy day’ for many of the polling stations.
Official turnout figures should be released after midnight but the final vote could come as late as 5am.
Votes are now in the process of being verified.
