SWIMMERS are being asked to take the plunge and sign-up for Canine Partners’ 25th anniversary fundraiser.

The national assistance dog charity, based at Heyshott, is calling on groups of four swimmers to take part and raise at least £250.

The swim-a-thon will take place at Billingshurst Leisure Centre, which has disabled access, on Saturday, February 7 from 4pm-8pm.

Each team will swim for two hours and the winners will be those who swim the most lengths – with each member swimming at least two lengths
doggy paddle.

It is open to all age-groups and abilities, although swimmers must be able to swim at least two lengths and under-16s need permission.

Holly Bryan, challenge co-ordinator, said: “All we ask is that each team of swimmers raises a minimum of £250.”
