THERE was a wealth of talent on show when Kirdford Art Group members held their annual exhibition in the village hal.
And group secretary Tony Sanders said the group was going from strength to strength in contrast to some other art groups which were struggling.
“We had a very successful weekend with an increase in the number of pictures we sold and the amount of money we raised which has bucked the trend of other art groups who have been losing money and not selling at exhibitions – we seem to be going another way.”
He said some 35 pictures were sold over the exhibition weekend and takings were up.
Among the new members exhibiting this year were acclaimed war artist Gordon Rushmere, who was showing four pictures and Graham Wells, a farrier from Wisborough Green who has recently been accepted as an association member of the Sussex Artists.
