SIX fire crews are tackling a blaze which started in a garage at a home in Pulborough.
They were called to the home in Gay Street Lane close to its junction with the A29 at around midday today (Monday, October 14)
The crews have now asked police to close the nearby roads because of the dangers associated with acetylene cylinders in the garage.
The garage has been severely damaged by the fire and fire fighters are now battling to prevent it spreading to the adjoining house.
The blaze is just 340 metres from the railway line and the fire service is working with British Rail to ensure safety.
