Canine Partners, the Heyshott-based charity, is to open its first pop-up shop in the centre of Midhurst.
The shop is a first for the charity and will move into West Street, Midhurst, opening for business on Tuesday, (November 5) and remaining open until the end of January.
Staff and volunteers will run the store, which will sell Christmas cards and gifts as well as evening wear and accessories.
Jill Green, head of regional fundraising, said: “This will be a fabulous opportunity for us to be part of the community and hopefully to meet more people who may have an interest in the life-changing work that we do.
“It really is a perfect opportunity to pick up a great bargain as the party season looms as well as those last-minute festive gifts that we all need once life starts to get busy around Christmas and new year time.
“We are inviting everyone to come along and spend some time with us and get to know us better.
“We’re really looking forward to welcoming people into the shop.”
The Canine Partners’ shop will be open until the end of January and will be taking over the store which has been ‘The Real Flower Company’ and is easily accessible for wheelchair users.
Over the coming weeks the charity has planned a programme of events including ‘Party Week’ starting Monday, November 24, during which author Alice Petersen will be signing her new novel as well as special Canine Partners’ dog treats and recipes available in store.
The shop will also feature a special Christmas week theme beginning on December 9 which will see Mr December, the Canine Partners’ puppy Magnum, who features in the charity’s calendar, pop in to meet visitors.
The shop opening hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 10am-5pm.
