AN APPLICATION for equipment associated with on-site renewable energy use at a Plaistow farm has been withdrawn.
The proposals for Crouchlands Farm were due to go before Chichester District Council’s planning committee on Wednesday (September 18), but were withdrawn by the applicant prior to the meeting.
The plans for the beef and dairy farm included portable containers and associated cooling vessels for gas conditioning.
The farm already has similar machinery for on-site renewable energy purposes, and the proposals are an upgrade, due to ‘more efficient plant and equipment becoming available’.
Kirdford Parish Council objected to the plans, as there were concerns that the further development of the site would result in the plant changing its use from an on-site renewable energy plant to one with fully commercial activity.
Other concerns included increased traffic in the area.
