Police appeal after motorcyclist forced off Halnaker road

POLICE have today (Wednesday, September 11) appealed for witnesses after a motorcyclist was forced off the road by an overtaking vehicle and suffered a broken leg.

The incident happened on Saturday (September 7) at 12.50pm when the motorcyclist, a 20-year-old man from Fratton, Hampshire, was travelling south on the A285 at Halnaker, Chichester.

A green VW vehicle, heading north, overtook another vehicle on double white lines, forcing the Honda motorbike off the road.

The VW then failed to stop.

The motorcyclist was taken to St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester, with leg and shoulder injuries.
