POLICE have confirmed the A286 crash which closed the road was between two waste water tankers in the early hours of this morning (February 12).
The Environment Agency and Southern Water are at the scene to keep control of possible pollution.
One of the tankers crashed into the back of the other, and police said they got the call at 4.30am this morning.
The collision closed the road between Lavant and West Dean all morning, but a police spokeswoman said one lane of the A286 is now open.
The vehicles are awaiting recovery.
