Home store B&M has announced plans to open a new store in Bognor Regis next week.

It will be located in the Southern Cross Trading Estates and the finishing touches to the new premises are being made ahead of the opening party on Friday, October 9.

The chain sells a wide range of branded and own label products including groceries and toiletries as well as an extensive non-food section including toys, home, electrical and seasonal ranges.

Ian Rawlings, Bognor’s new store manager, said: “B&M is committed to recruiting from the local area and I am delighted we’ve found a great team from in and around Bognor Regis.

“We’re really proud to be creating 65 jobs across the town this year and playing our part in the local community.”

“We are excited to get the doors open on Friday, October 9 and honoured to have not one but two dignitaries cutting the ribbon to officially mark the opening of our new store.”

The ribbon cutting will be undertaken by the Mayor of Bognor, Councillor Jeanette Warr and the chairman of Bersted Parish Council Brian Knight at the opening ceremony.

The new store is the second of two B&M openings on the South Coast of England next month with a further store also planned to open in Portsmouth on Saturday, October 3, creating another 100 jobs.
