THERE was plenty of star gazing to be had at West Dean’s Grow! Cook! Eat! festival.
Over the weekend (October 4-5), crowds filled the gardens to watch celebrity chefs - and famous stargazer Russell Grant - in action for the two-day taste sensation.
There was a lively and fun programme of events, with something for everyone, including live cookery demonstrations, a gardening theatre, livestock displays and storytelling tents.
Live folk music also played throughout the weekend, headlined by ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent finalist Sam Kelly and duo Gilmore and Roberts.
Celebrity chefs Marcus Bean and Dean Edwards drew the crowds in the cookery theatre, cooking up a storm with Russell Grant - one of the famous names on this year’s Celebrity MasterChef.
Both Dean, from ITV’S Daybreak, and Marcus, who regularly appears on This Morning, were on hand to sign copies of their latest books.
Grow! Cook! Eat! is a celebration of the best of the British harvest, with the focus on seasonal and locally produced food.
Visitors also had a taster of fresh bread courtesy of The Hungry Guest, based in Petworth, washed down with a cold pint from Langham Brewery, based in Lodsworth.
