THREE members of a family created history at the Pagham Pram Race.
Dad Andy Archer and his son and daughter won three top prizes at the Boxing Day piece of English eccentricity.
Andy, 52, of Wychwood Close, was part of the team of firefighters which won the David Purley Memorial Trophy. Nathan Archer, 21, took home the prize for being first. Lucy Archer, 23, was half of the winning female pair.
The hat-trick is believed to be unique since the race began in 1946.
Andy said: “It’s the first time I’ve won a prize, though I’ve entered the race several times. It feels good all three of us have won. We’ll have a a bit of a celebration at home this afternoon.”
