LETTERS: Why not guilty?

I don’t know what Caroline Lucas is up to.

She is obviously fairly well educated, but has a distrust in what people see.

She attended Balcombe, where permission was granted for drilling for oil.

She turned up, with others, to protest about fracking which has not been granted, and she made herself a downright nuisance to police etc and she was arrested after a warning about her behaviour. All of this was shown on national television and reported on by many commentators.

But in court she has pleaded not guilty, why? Does she think no-one was watching?

She will be wasting much-needed money unless the court fines her highly.

And in my opinion it cannot be high enough: she should go to jail for several months or join the other Green persons – on Mars!
