We should be green

THE proposed cuts to the local buses should not happen. Many people, particularly those who do not have access to a car, need their buses to run as often as possible.

Nowadays we are encouraged to have a greener lifestyle in Britain, which means environmentally-friendly transport should be supported rather than reduced.

Overall, reducing bus and other public transport services in any area creates more car traffic that leads to greater congestion, which results in a larger demand for new roads.

This area of West Sussex needs to prevent too many new roads as they cut across the countryside and do not always solve traffic problems.

The number of buses and trains should not be limited, as the reduction of them would create more problems for all types of residents in the Chichester area.
