YOU ANNOUNCE yet another new ‘initiative’ in your article on the ‘Business Improvement Initiative (BID)’.
This is surely destined to join the ill-fated ‘Visit Chichester’ if there is not a radical re-think at the district council.
These ‘initiatives’ have the alleged aim of attracting more visitors, yet the council continually chips away at the number of parking spaces and closes public toilets. Easy parking and plentiful toilets are fundamental requirements for most visitors.
If Chichester tradespeople and councillors really want to attract more visitors they should start by acting more logically and stop thoughtlessly undermining their own ‘initiatives’.
