I READ with delight the advert in the Observer ‘The Nuffield Hospital in Broyle Road are hoping to offer GP private appointments’.
This will be of great comfort to sick people who sometimes have to wait two or three weeks to see their own local doctor.
But one asks how the Nuffield GPs gain access to confidential medical files at short notice? What fees will be involved? Most important: how soon will one be able to see these GPs? Where is this influx of GPs coming from? Surely not our own doctors moonlighting while we wait and wait to be seen. More information please!
