EIGHT jobs will be lost in Shoreham and Steyning before Christmas when two off-licences close.
First Quench Retailing, which trades as Threshers, Wine Rack, The Local, Haddows, Bottoms Up and Victoria Wine, went into administration earlier this month.

It has now announced a further 381 outlets, including 37 in Sussex, will close by mid-December following the chain failing to find a buyer.

The Thresher wine shops in High Street, Shoreham, and High Street, Steyning, will both close, with the loss of four jobs at each outlet.

Richard Fleming, head of restructuring at KPMG, a joint administrator, said: "Unfortunately, there has not been sufficient interest in these 381 stores as part of the going concern sale, so we have no option but to close them."
