THIS year's RAFA Shoreham Air Show coincides with the 90th anniversary of the Royal Air Force.
The Eurofighter Typhoon has been confirmed for both days of the weekend of August 30 and 31 alongside the Falcons parachute team and other RAF aircraft.
Christian Moullec will make a welcome return, after a two-year absence because of other commitments, with his microlight aircraft and geese – and will this year have some cranes flying with him, as well.
The airfield attack and scramble will be held for the third year under the guidance of John Romain, with more more attention paid to people and vehicles on the ground, recreating an airfield scene from 1943.
Wing-walking, aerobatic displays and popular aircraft, such as the Sally B, Kitty Hawk and Mustang, will all feature, with plans being made right up to the event.
The organisers of the Royal Air Forces Association are planning a tribute to pilot Brian Brown, killed at last year's event.
Mr Brown, 49, was taking part in a simulated airfield attack – meant to be the highlight of the show – when his Hawker Hurricane crashed at the foot of the Downs near Shoreham Airport.
