The George rounded off a fairly successful season by winning the Ken Baker Memorial Cup final with a 6-1 win against Elmer at Arundel FC.
They saw off a lacklustre Elmer side thanks to a superb hat-trick from man of the match Adam Plummer, a double from Ronnie Lewry and a smart finish from top scorer Charlie Squires.
As first seasons go for the Super Whites, it has to be seen as a success and the silverware is a reward for chairman Kevin Ellis, who has been generous throughout the season with his backing.
The hope is the team will come back next season with the experience to become a stronger unit.
The George also thanked their other sponsors, Wilkinson Contracts and Five Star Taxis, for their tremendous support.
THE GEORGE: Munt; Sharp (Tinson), Nicholls, Sells, Eldred (Pye); Lewry, Pasterfield, Garnett, Mills; Plummer, Squires (Newman).
