Pompey Supporters’ Trust are seeking candidates to stand in their forthcoming elections.
Five spots are currently available on the board.
The two-year stints of Trust chairman Ashley Brown, Pompey board member Mark Trapani, Pam Wilkins and Mike Saunders have expired.
In addition, the board is to be extended to include an extra candidate, taking the total space available to five.
Nominations to stand in the election must be received by 6pm on Thursday, July 31 – just two weeks away.
Voting papers will then be sent out via post and e-mail to qualifying members by August 15, with voting closing at 6pm on September 5.
There is also an alteration in the election policy this year, with candidates to now be allowed to use social media to put forward their views in the run up.
Previously this was prohibited, drawing much criticism during last summer’s process and prompting a change for this year.
And Trust secretary Tony Foot is hopeful such a move will be handled in the correct manner by candidates.
He said: ‘It was clear from the discussions of both the sub committee and the board that the overwhelming feeling was that this year the election policy should free up the ability of candidates to use up-to-date media but still abide by rules of fairness.
‘This is an ongoing exercise and this year’s experience will be carefully recorded and, as usual, show how PCFC and PST can influence other organisations in the way forward.’
Only one vote will be accepted from any e-mail address.
Anyone wishing to register another e-mail address with the Trust must do so by Sunday, August 10.
The results will be declared at the Trust’s fifth AGM on September 29 at Fratton Park, if not earlier, with the successful candidates expected to be present to be formally introduced to the members.
