Generation Tennis, who coach at seven tennis clubs across Hampshire and West Sussex, held an inter-club tournament for mini tennis players.
The tournament brought together the top mini orange players at Southsea Tennis Club, where the home players faced others from Midhurst, Bognor, Fernhurst and Aldingbourne.
The event was a huge success with players having an abundance of enthusiasm and team spirit and there was a high standard of tennis on show.
The tournament consisted of each club competing in two separate round-robin groups that led to a semi-final and final, and in each round players in every team played their opposing seed from the other team in singles and paired up with another seed from their own team for doubles.
The semi-finals were intense with Bognor and Midhurst locked - their fate on progressing to the next round based on the number of points won as they were tied on matches.
The final score left Bognor heading to the final to meet Fernhurst, who overcame Aldingbourne in their semi-final.
In the final, the standard of play was again of high quality - even against the sea breeze that swept across the courts.
Bognor won three of the matches to become the day’s overall winners.
Generation Tennis thanked Southsea TC for hosting the event and all of the players for their fair play and great attitude.
