With the Sussex road relays last Saturday at Christs Hospital School marking the end of the club winter season, Chichester Runners & AC are turning their attention to the forthcoming track and field season.

The club have teams entered in both national and county leagues.

Many athletes will be involved in county, area and national championships...

The seniors are looking forward to another competitive season in the Southern Athletics League with fixtures at Twickenham on April 25 followed by trips to Portsmouth (twice), Swindon and Aldershot.

The National Youth Development League again has two age groups. The under-17 and under-20 squad kick off their season very early on April 18 with a visit to Hillingdon while the under-13 and under-15 team travel to Sutton on May 2.

Added to this, the under-13s and 15s will have their own separate Sussex Leagues with evening matches culminating in their grand finals in September.

In addition to the league fixtures, many athletes will be involved in county, area and national championships together with open meetings and schools events – so the next five months look like being a busy time for all concerned.

The Chichester club are now back at their summer headquarters at the University of Chichester and further information can be obtained from the club website.
