Chichester Racquets & Fitness Club hosted a 12-and-under county tour tennis tournament.

The boys’ singles event was played on the club’s indoor and outdoor courts and was run using a compass draw format of eight players, each match comprising the best of three short sets to four games, with a match tie-break to ten points as the deciding set if needed.

Third place and bronze went to Nicolas De Brunner, a member of the Chichester club. He defeated Joe Eales from Portsmouth Tennis Academy 4-2, 4-2.

Harrison Feast from Totally Tennis Basingstoke was runner-up and collected the silver medal. The winner and gold medallist Theo Maclean, from Winchester Racquets & Fitness Club, defeated Feast 4-0, 4-1 in the final.

Tournament organiser and referee Peter Cook said: “It was a breezy day on the outside courts and quite warm inside the Dome. Credit must go to the players, who didn’t complain and still produced some really exciting tennis. Thanks must also go to their families who came along to give them support and encouragement.”
