Gym Academy girls make the grade

Members of the Gym Academy attended the 2013 women’s artistic south regional grades event at the Guildford Spectrum, putting on confident displays.

The gymnasts put their nerves behind them to focus on the day ahead and deserve congratulations for passing their grades.

At grade 13 in age, Ellie Haxton shone with her grace and elegance, taking a joint third place for floor, while Lily Coleman-Head pulled off a strong vault during her performance.

At grade 14 in age, Signe Zaikovska and Lottie Gorringe showed consistant quality throughout their routines to achieve very commendable finishing places.

And at grade 12 in age, from a large group of 23 gymnasts, Grace Mihell had a steady competition, with fourth place on the beam her strongest point. Liana Dorney applied herself well with solid vault and bar routines.

At grade ten in age, Mae Elliott showed off her powerful handspring vault while Georgia Dorney maintained a high calibre throughout with great artistry.

The Gym Academy coaches were very proud of the stunning, high-quality performances of the gymnasts as they showed off the dedication, effort and hard work they all possess.
