Chichester High School for Boys are set to offer youngsters the chance to improve their boxing skills.

The school are setting up a boxing club, which will be managed by maths teacher Chris Kimbangi with funding from Network

Rail.

The school welcomed Quinton Shillingford from www.boxingawards.co.uk, who gave a demonstration of the inspiring opportunities he delivers at his club in Portsmouth.

A spokesman from the High School said: “With support from Boxing Awards and ‘Q’, Chichester High School for Boys will deliver a GB National Boxing Award, which will be broken down into six separate awards – non-contact and semi-contact.

“The awards are an introduction to the sport of amateur boxing as a game of skill, discipline, respect and self-control. It teaches the

importance of a healthy lifestyle and has been designed as a fun recreational programme for all participants at all levels, age and

abilities.”
