BOGNOR youngsters Joshua Strudwick and Joshua McCartain were winners at the Littlehampton GC Junior Championship for the second year running.
Strudwick, 16, won the club’s junior scratch championship playing off a handicap of three to repeat his win of last year.
McCartain, nine, from Middleton, also for the second year in a row, won the Watts Cup on handicap.
Golfing talent runs in the family. Thirty years ago his father Brendan, who was then a junior at the club, also won the trophy.
Brendan is now one of the most experienced caddies on the European Tour.
He carried the bag for Jose-Marie Olazabel when he won the US Masters at Augusta in 1999 and is now caddying for Britian’s Chris Wood.
