There’s only one day left to nominate people for the Chichester and district 2011 Youth Sport Achievement Awards.
Hundreds of people have already been nominated, but if you know of anyone who deserves recognition, nominate them now before entries close tomorrow.
The entries already received have shown the range of sporting talent within the Chichester district.
They range from international hockey and fencing stars to junior gymnasts.
The scheme recognises young sports stars and teams plus coaches and volunteers who provide sporting opportunities.
Awards will be handed out at a ceremony at Westgate Leisure on Saturday, June 11.
Nominations can be made in the following categories: Team of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Coach of the Year, Young Person’s Commitment to Sport, Outstanding Contribution to Sport, Outstanding Sports Performance of the Year, Youth Sport Achievement.
The awards are organised by Chichester District Council in partnership with the Observer and Chichester Priory Rotary Club.
Forms can be collected from the District Council or Observer offices in Chichester or downloaded from the council’s website – www.chichester.gov.uk
They can also be obtained from Ben Polhill, sport and physical activity development officer at the council, on 01243 534857 or at email@example.com
