Dad’s Army’s Ian Lavender is honouring his commitment to the Festival of Chichester with a trip to the city on Monday, November 25.
Ian’s Festival of Chichester date this summer had to be postponed when the Edinburgh Festival came calling.
But Ian was keen to fulfil his commitment – and has confirmed he will be offering Tea with Ian Lavender on Monday, November 25 at 3pm in the Vicars Hall at Chichester Cathedral. Tickets at £8.50 include tea and cake served from vintage crockery.
Ian Lavender is best known for his performance as Private Pike in Dad’s Army, one of the most successful comedy series in television history. His many stage and screen appearances include Sister Act, the musical at the London Palladium, and starring with Dustin Hoffman in The Merchant of Venice again in the West End.
Ian will be in conversation with Westbourne resident and theatre director Roger Redfarn who directed the London stage version of Dad’s Army with the original television cast.
“The afternoon promises to be one of laughter, fun and anecdotes,” Roger said. “There will be an opportunity for the audience to ask questions.”
Tickets can be booked from the Cathedral box office in person or on 01243 813595 or www.chichestertickets.co.uk.
