PENDEAN House, the BUPA care house at West Lavington is gearing up for another round of fund-raising events, which last year netted more than £19,000 for several charities.
The first event was a Diamond Jubilee celebration tea party in the marquee which has been set up in the grounds of Pendean House for a series of events throughout this month.
The tea party on Wednesday, was enjoyed by residents and their guests who joined in the national celebrations of the week.
On Tuesday local historian, Dave Rudwick gave an illustrated talk on the Midhurst Museum and old Midhurst at an event which included afternoon tea and the proceeds went to Diabetes UK Awareness Week.
The residents will be having a lunch to which members of the transport charity Tandem have been invited.
Pendean will once again host the very popular strawberry tea organised by Tandem on June 19.
On Thursday, June 21, members of Midhurst Lions will be holding a fashion show featuring the new arrival in Midhurst’s West Street, Arnage.
Tickets cost £10 and will include Pimm’s and canapes, and money raised will be for Breast Cancer Care.
The next day Action for Deafness will be holding a ploughmans fund-raising supper in the marquee.
Pendean’s main event, the annual garden fete will be on Saturday, June 23, featuring a display by the LL Club with a vintage display and music supplied by Musical Mayhem.
Stedham Church is holding a lunchtime event on Sunday June 24, Pendean hosts a tea dance on June 26 at 2.30pm in aid of Tandem with live musical entertainment. Tickets are available at £5.
The Haslemere Macmillan team will be holding a fundraiser to end a busy month of events at Pendean.
