DOG CLUB: Jack Russell Terrier Club at Cowdray Ruins

THE SOUTHERN Region branch of the Jack Russell Terrier Club of Great Britain is holding a show at Cowdray Ruins, Midhurst on Sunday ( April 1).

The show, which starts at 11am will include classes for Jack Russells and fellow terriers such as Lakelands, Patterdales and boarder terriers.

Organisers will also be running a lurcher and whippet show. Jack Russells were named after The Rev John Russell after his death by friends who admired his achievements with these animals.

Admission to the show is free and members would be delighted to meet up with like minded people to chat and compare the terriers. Jack Russells are not recognised by the Kennel Club, but the terrier club has a breed standard and registration system.
