LOWER Roundhurst Farm near Haslemere is opening its gates for a fun-packed food and farming event on September 10 as part of the growing Haslemere Food Festival.
Alongside the many stalls of local food producers and artisans, there will be tastings and crafts to get involved in, as well as trying your hand at the potter’s wheel from Grayshott Pottery, or learning to create fire by friction!
There will be a special demonstration by a champion sheepdog handler and visitors will also have the chance to soak up the scenery by taking a farm walk and meeting farm residents such as the famous pedigree Sussex cows or Southdown sheep.
And there will be plenty to keep the children entertained too, with a bouncy castle, face painting, pony rides and live music.
Lower Roundhurst farm shop sells its own organically-reared beef, lamb and pork along with a range of seasonal, local and organic goods.
