Heavy Horse and Working Animals Show at Weald and Downland

WAR horses will be the theme of this year’s Heavy Horse and Working Animals Show at the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum in Singleton.

The show will take place on Saturday and Sunday, May 26 and 27, and visitors will be able to see a first world war horse re-enactment mounted 16th Lancer display.

Other features will include a war horse exhibition by the National Army Museum, while Dr Andy Robertshaw, curator and manager of the Royal Logistic Corps Museum will share his experiences as a military consultant on Steve Spielberg’s film War Horse.

There will be a wide variety of heavy horse breeds to see plus gun dogs and falconry displays.
