PRETTY Roxanne Hotchkiss is making a bid to become the next Miss England.
The 22-year-old Miss West Sussex title holder, is one of 50 finalists competing to win the coveted role.

On July 17, she and the other girls will attend the two-day final in London.

During the event, she will have to wear a bikini, an evening gown and an eco-friendly outfit, as well as be interviewed by a panel of judges.

Roxanne, of Chute Avenue, High Salvington, said: "I would love to be Miss England.

"It would be lovely to do different things throughout the year and represent my country."

Roxanne, who has just completed a diploma in musical theatre at London's Urdang Academy, hopes to have a career in acting or singing.

As part of her Miss England campaign, she is organising a sponsored walk on July 13 in aid of the Institute of Cancer's walk with cancer appeal.

She is also taking part in several photo shoots, including one for Hello! magazine with all the other finalists.

To vote for Roxanne as Miss England, text Miss West Sussex to 81118 or call 09012 935935 and key in 19 when prompted.
