A KEEN runner at Worthing High School could soon be representing the county.
Kerri-Ann Body, 15, who is in year 10 at the school in South Farm Road, is waiting to hear if she has been awarded a place to represent Sussex as a sprinter after a string of wins at recent tournaments.

Kerri-Ann, who mainly runs 200 and 300metres, took part in the Sussex champions tournament last month and came first in the 300metre sprint.

This was followed by the chance to run as part of the under-17 team at the Southern League and she got through to the final.

She said: "I really want to represent Sussex as I didn't get through last year.

"I have been running competitively for two years and belong to the Brighton and Hove Athletics Club.

"I am very committed to running and train for three hours three times a week."
