Charities benefit from driving force of society
In addition to arranging golf days and other events for the enjoyment of members, their guests and partners, a key objective of the society has been to raise money for both national and local charities.
In the nineteen years since it’s formation, BHIGS has donated a total of over £36,600 to fifteen different charities mainly in Sussex. These include St. Catherine’s Hospice and Horsham based Springboard and Phoenix.

£900 was raised by Society members and friends and in handing over a cheque to the Air Ambulance representative Barbara Pieniazek. She said : “As a charity Air Ambulance relies on the generosity of the public to keep it operational.
“Anyone of us at any time may need the fast medical response the service provides as we go about our daily lives, living, working and travelling within the three counties.
